Announcement of membership in the Connectivity Standards Alliance
~For greater compatibility with Matter, the common smart home standard~

NEXTY Electronics has joined the Connectivity Standards Alliance (hereinafter referred to as” Alliance”), the standards organization that established Matter, the common smart home standard. By joining the Alliance, which writes common IoT standards, NEXTY Electronics will improve our relevant technical capabilities and help customers develop Matter-compatible products.

1.  Background behind joining

Demand for smart home devices is rapidly increasing as lifestyles diversify. That makes Matter, the common standard playing a central role, crucial. By joining the Alliance that defines Matter, NEXTY Electronics will provide the latest information and technical support to customers developing Matter-compatible products, thus contributing to product development with greater quality and speed. As an electronics trading company will work closely with semiconductor suppliers within the Alliance and actively help customers further accelerate their development processes.

2. Joining the Japan branch

The Alliance created its Japan Interest Group in April 2024. NEXTY Electronics joined as a founding member and is the only electronics trading company in the Alliance. Being a trading company gives us insights into what the customers that develop Matter products are thinking, and the unique features required for Japanese consumer electronics. We will leverage these insights to approach the Alliance about incorporating them into the Matter standard.

NEXTY Electronics will continue to improve our technical capabilities and expand services by providing the latest technology to meet the needs of our customers.
