Announcement Regarding the Establishment of NEXTY Electronics Corporation
TOMEN Electronics Corporation (hereinafter, "TOMEN Electronics") and Toyota Tsusho Electronics Corporation (hereinafter, "Toyota Tsusho Electronics") merged on April 1, 2017 to become NEXTY Electronics Corporation.
The new company has its sights set on becoming a globally active electronics company that will harness the power of its global network and bring the 'technology, quality, and functionality' of both component-companies to a whole new level.
In addition to driving the evolution of car electronics for automated driving through innovation and industry transformation, NEXTY Electronics will specialize in technological products that will offer solutions to social issues while responding to customer and global needs in a wide range of fields that include IoT and industrial equipment.
In preparation for its April 2017 launch, company has finalized its official name, logo, and corporate management structure.
As a core company in the Toyota Tsusho Group's electronics business, everyone at NEXTY Electronics is dedicated to making the company a driving force in the electronics industry by harnessing the collective capabilities of the group.

Official English name of the new company is NEXTY Electronics Corporation.
1. Concepts behind the company name
(1) To symbolize TOMEN Electronics and Toyota Tsusho Electronics' commitment to pursue everything "NEXT"
(2) To symbolize the goal to "Tie" together both company's knowledge, experience and talent, and to venture towards the NEXT stage together with partners
(3) To incorporate the idea of constantly pursuing the NEXT Technology and delivering it to the world
2. Inspiration for the NEXTY corporate logo (see Attachment 1)
◎The dynamic red gradation symbolizes the merging of two companies and the synergistic benefits that will facilitate new stages of growth. The N represents the first letter of NEXTY, with the silver color conveying a spirit of innovation.
◎The composition depicts a sense of NEXTY's active approach to constantly pursue the 'NEXT Technology' and deliver it to the world.
◎Together, the two symbols form a T, representing TOMEN Electronics and Toyota Tsusho Electronics.
The logo also evokes an image of two companies becoming one to "Be the Next Bridge" with a spirit of innovation and sense of dynamism to ceaselessly pursue the NEXT of everything.
3. About the corporate name change
The corporate name of "TOMEN Electronics Corporation" has officially changed to "NEXTY Electronics Corporation."

The merger aims to produce a new company that realizes a scale that affords recognition as a world-class electronics company, incorporates the strengths of both companies to achieve "differentiation through quality, technology, and functionality," and is capable of accelerating global business expansion through Toyota Tsusho Group's overseas network, which covers over 90 countries worldwide.
