BACKGROUND
The automotive industry is undergoing a major technological evolution in the areas of Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric, or “CASE” which is the current trend of the auto industry, and as a result, the ability to respond rapidly to new technologies is needed more than ever before. Of these aspects, in-vehicle Ethernet*2, which can support the high-speed and large-capacity communication data, is expected to be utilized in the next-generation automotive communications field. Especially in China where the automotive market is growing rapidly, there is an urgent need to standardize in-vehicle Ethernet, and to also develop standards conformance tests and certification schemes.

CATARC is the only organization in China capable of formulating national standards for vehicles (GB, GB-T)*1, and is also able to implement certification, product research, development, design, and verification. In addition, its group company, CATARC AERI Changzhou, has both extensive testing facilities and engineers.
NEXTY Electronics is expanding its business at an top-class scale in the automotive electronics sector, whose market is expanding via developments such as advanced safety vehicles and autonomous driving. Meanwhile, its group company, NEXTY Dalian, has built a successful track record in the development and evaluation of automotive software for OEM and Tier1 manufacturers, especially those based in Japan.
As with NEXTY Dalian, C&S is a group company of NEXTY Electronics Corporation. As a standards-compliant testing organization for automotive communications in Europe, C&S provides testing and consulting services for automotive communications, mainly to OEM and Tier1 manufacturers in Europe, and abundant know-how in in-vehicle communication and calibration testing.
By providing automotive Ethernet testing services to OEM & Tier1 manufacturers in China, and working with CATARC Group to standardize in-vehicle Ethernet*2, establish standards conformance tests, and develop certification schemes, this joint venture company will promote the widespread adoption of in-vehicle Ethernet in China while contributing to the acceleration and advancement of next-generation mobility.
