LEDs are the big enabler in automotive front lighting, supporting new design possibilities, energy savings and new applications like matrix, pixel or laser high beam. On the one hand these trends come with the demand for flexible DC/DC driver solutions for driving LED systems up to 50 W and more – or LEDs in configurations with currents of even more than 3 A – with high efficiency. On the other hand with increasing penetration of LEDs in the volume middle class also the system costs come into the focus. The LITIX™ Power Flex family with a synchronous H-Bridge DC/DC controller (TLD5541-1QV) and synchronous two-channel devices for use in various boost (TLD5541-2QV) or buck topologies (TLD5501-2QV) are the perfect answers to those trends.
