New motor control design for pumps: Motor system IC

Infineon's motor system ICs are integrated solutions featuring an integrated bridge driver, POWER SUPPLIES, and CAN FD/LIN communication interface, significantly reducing the required board space and component count.

The motor system IC utilizes a patented adaptive MOS FETS gate drive concept. This multi-stage slew rate control enables EMC tuning via SPI, including adjusting the slew rate independently of dead time and turn-on/off delays. Self-adaptive external MOS FETS SWITCHES balances power loss and EMC performance. This, combined with overtemperature protection features such as pre-warning, individual thermal shutdown, and diagnostic and monitoring functions (fail-safe output, watchdog, fail-safe operating mode, short-circuit protection, etc.), is incorporated into the motor system IC to help optimize power consumption.
