Steering column lock

Steering column lock
In recent years, many cars have been equipped with electrically operated steering column locks.
This application requires high reliability, as it functions as an anti-theft device when the vehicle is stationary, but it must never malfunction while the vehicle is in motion.
Infineon offers a wide range of high-quality products that can optimize steering column lock applications.
Please consider Infineon's various products for your steering column locking applications.

Circuit diagram explanation

Circuit diagram explanation
The basic circuit for the steering column lock includes POWER SUPPLIES, communication ICs (CAN, LIN), a microcontroller, a motor drive circuit to operate the column lock motor, and a position detection sensor. POWER SUPPLIES and communication ICs can be selected according to customer requirements, either as an integrated SBC (System Base Chip) or as individual ICs.
Similarly, for motor drive circuits, we offer solutions including MOS-integrated driver ICs, IPDs (high-side/low-side switches), and MOS FETS. Please consider our solutions to meet your specific requirements and design philosophy.
