Supporting the Adoption of AI-Powered Battery State Monitoring Software
- Progress in Evaluations with Domestic OEMs and Tier-1 Suppliers -

NEXTY Electronics Corporation (Head office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President: Tsuyoshi Yamada), an electronics trading company within the Toyota Tsusho Group, is supporting the adoption of battery state, degradation, and lifespan prediction software developed by Eatron Technologies Ltd (Head office: United Kingdom; CEO: Dr. Umut Genç; hereinafter "Eatron") among automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers in Japan.

■ Background
As electrification advances across the automotive industry, battery usage is increasing, and with it the demand for technologies that can accurately monitor battery state and degradation, enabling proper management of battery safety, performance, and lifespan.
At the same time, directly observing the internal state of a battery is inherently difficult, making it necessary to estimate conditions from limited available data. Compounding this challenge, battery behavior varies depending on operating environment and the extent of degradation, making it difficult to accurately capture the true state of a battery in real-world use.

■ Eatron's Solution
Eatron provides software that uses AI to make battery state visible and to predict future degradation and remaining lifespan. The software is designed to maximize the performance, efficiency, safety, and longevity of lithium-ion batteries. It integrates with existing battery management systems (BMS) and physical models, as well as customers' own proprietary software and algorithms, to analyze battery state of charge and degradation in real time.
This enables the enhancement of existing systems and contributes to improved battery safety, optimized performance, and extended service life.

■ Adoption Support
NEXTY Electronics is supporting the deployment of Eatron's software by leveraging the network it has built through its automotive semiconductor business, together with its technical expertise in software and battery technologies. Through the company's involvement, deployment discussions are already underway with domestic automotive OEMs and Tier-1 suppliers, with multiple evaluation projects currently in progress.

Through this initiative, NEXTY Electronics will support the domestic adoption of advanced software technologies from overseas and contribute to solving challenges faced by its customers.
