Sound source separation technology extracts only a specific speaker's voice from an audio source.
This technology enables a variety of services, including personalized, technology-driven solutions.
Our developed sound source separation system distinguishes and extracts the voice of a specific speaker, like the driver or a passenger, even when multiple sound sources are present. This technology paves the way for innovative applications and services.
The core voice signal processing is achieved using powerful Digital Signal Processors from Analog Devices.
This solution is a collaborative product developed by NEXTY Electronics and NEXTY System Design, utilizing Analog Devices A2B technology for efficient multiple microphone input connections.
Video: Introduction to sound source separation technology and its applications (demo video)
Example uses: (1) Distinguishing voices from different seats in the vehicle cabin (2) Speaker-specific transcription for accurate text conversion (3) Online meetings with significantly reduced ambient noise interference
Features
This product represents a technology collaboration between NEXTY Electronics and NEXTY System Design.
NEXTY Electronics manages overall system construction and project management, while our group company, NEXTY System Design, handles the sophisticated software development.
We also provide meticulous tuning support, which is crucial for optimizing voice processing functions.
Employs High-Precision Sound Source Separation IP
We have employed a high-precision sound source separation IP. This advanced IP allows for the extraction of individual sounds even when mixed with various other noises.
By dynamically adjusting filter coefficients, the system estimates the acoustic transfer function from each source to the microphones, effectively isolating each desired sound source. This enables the separation of simultaneous conversations involving up to four people.

Employs Analog Devices DSP and A2B voice transmission technology
This solution features an Analog Devices DSP, a proven choice for automotive audio systems with a strong track record.
It also utilizes Analog Devices' proprietary A2B voice transmission technology, enabling low-latency audio with cost-effective daisy-chained UTP cable connections for microphones—reducing both delay and overall system cost.

Application examples
Enables various operations by identifying speakers in the vehicle cabin.

Meeting Minutes Tool
The technology can distinguish individual voices even during overlapping speech, making it ideal for automated meeting transcription.

Online Meetings
During online meetings, background noise from air conditioning, paper shuffling, and side conversations can be distracting.
By applying voice activity detection to isolate only the speaker’s voice, meetings can proceed smoothly and without disruptions.
When colleagues are nearby, this technology removes the need to mute your mic or worry about unwanted background noise.
