The ADPA1112 is a broadband power amplifier capable of operation from 1 GHz to 22 GHz. It provides 42 dBm saturated output power (P), 25% power-added efficiency (PAE), and 14 dB typical power gain at an input power (PIN) of 28.0 dBm over the 8 GHz to 16 GHz frequency range. The RF input and RF output are internally matched and ac-coupled. A 28 V drain bias voltage (VDD) is applied to the VDD1 and VDD2 pins, which include integrated bias INDUCTORS. The drain current is set by applying a negative voltage to the VGG1 pin. An integrated temperature-compensated RF detector allows monitoring of the RF output power.
