A highlight product from Infineon is the TRENCHSTOP™ IGBTS 7 module, designed specifically for the demands of drive applications. Ideal for general purpose drive (GPD) applications, it features TRENCHSTOP™ IGBTS 7 technology in a variety of proven packages, improving power density, controllability and overload capability, while saving costs and time.
For high-speed drive and INVERTERS integration, CoolSiC™ MOS FETS are an attractive solution due to their reduced SWITCHES and conduction losses, especially under partial load conditions.
In addition to power semiconductors, we also offer GATE DRIVER ICs for all Si and SiC devices.
EiceDRIVER™ covers a wide range of applications, from basic models focused on SWITCHES devices to high-performance models with built-in peripheral circuits such as protection circuits.

Product lineup

Easy Power Module

Infineon's Easy 1B and Easy 2B families use 1200 V TRENCHSTOP™ IGBTS 7 and Emitter Controlled DIODES 7 technology. The product portfolio includes PIMs (Power Integrated Modules) from 10 A to 100 A and six-pack configurations.
The chip is specifically optimized for industrial drive applications, offering much lower conduction losses, higher power density and softer SWITCHES.

Infineon EiceDRIVER™ gate driver ICs

EiceDRIVER™ X3 Enhanced is an isolated GATE DRIVER with features such as DESAT, Miller clamp, soft-off, and IC configurability. The X3 Analog 1ED34xx family allows protection functions to be configured using external resistors, while the X3 Digital 1ED38xx family allows 27 parameters to be set via the IC bus. This GATE DRIVER family offers highly flexible protection and monitoring functions, enabling innovative use cases such as predictive maintenance.

CoolSiC™ MOS FETS

SiC MOS FETS offer a variety of advantages, including the lowest gate charge and device capacitance levels due to the physical properties of SiC, zero reverse recovery loss in the anti-parallel DIODES, low SWITCHES losses that are temperature independent, and threshold-free on-state characteristics.
Infineon CoolSiC™ MOS FETS offer further unique advantages: cutting-edge trench design, lowest SWITCHES and conduction losses in their class, highest transconductance levels (gain), threshold voltage of Vth=4V and short circuit capability resulting in excellent gate oxide reliability. A revolution you can trust.
This results in a robust SiC MOS FETS technology that is ideal for hard-SWITCHES and resonant SWITCHES topologies like LLC and ZVS, and can be driven like IGBTS or MOS FETS with easy-to-use drivers, delivering the highest levels of efficiency at high SWITCHES frequencies, enabling system miniaturization, increased power density, and high lifetime reliability.

EconoPIM™ 2 & 3

The Econo 2 and 3 families in PIM and 6-pack configurations are the latest additions to the growing TRENCHSTOP™ IGBTS 7 module portfolio.
The EconoPIM™ 2 and 3 module portfolio featuring TRENCHSTOP™ IGBTS 7 covers the range from 25A to 200A.
Compared to previous IGBTS 4-chip generations, they offer higher power density and higher SWITCHES frequencies, requiring less cooling. For example, the EconoPACK™ 2 FS150R12N2T7 can reach up to 37kW in heavy duty applications. Under the same overall operating conditions, they offer the same or even longer product lifespan.

EconoDUAL™ 3

The EconoDUAL™ 3 module incorporates the latest TRENCHSTOP™ IGBTS 7 generation, expanding the 1200V product lineup from 600A to 900A. Combined with TRENCHSTOP™ IGBTS 7 technology, it delivers significantly reduced losses, high levels of controllability, soft SWITCHES, and high short-circuit capability. With a maximum operating temperature of 175°C under overload, it delivers high efficiency and power density, simplifying systems and reducing costs.
