The autonomous minicar battle is an event in which teams program their car and line up to race for top spot while detecting obstacles and their opponents’ cars using sensors installed on the minicar. NEXTY Electronics developed a minicar powered by NVIDIA’s® Jetson™ edge AI computer and participated in the unrestricted category of the event.

Bringing together knowledge and expertise from within the Company, the six-member team carefully prepared for the race, even going so far as to practice driving on a test track. On the day of the event, the NEXTY Electronics team fine-tuned the program and car for optimal performance around the course prepared at the venue. As a result, they finished 5th out of 12 teams in Time Attack which was the first round of the main tournament and were able to advance to the semi-finals in the subsequent rounds.

NEXTY Electronics will continue to actively incorporate the latest technologies to help solve customer issues.
