NEXTY Electronics Corporation (HQ: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & Representative Director: Atsushi Aoki; herein after referred to as “NEXTY Electronics”) has developed and begun offering GPS-enabled on-board communication devices, for use with Honda FLEET MANAGEMENT, a connected service provided by Honda for fleet motorcycles.

The communication device is optimized for motorcycle-use owing to its property of being resistant to vibration, water and dust. It uses GPS to obtain the current location of a motorcycle registered with the Honda FLEET MANAGEMENT service and uploads telemetry to the cloud.

Honda FLEET MANAGEMENT is a connected service for fleet motorcycles that enables management of operational dynamics by installing NEXTY Electronics’ communication devices on motorcycles that are used in various business situations. FLEET MANAGEMENT makes it possible to ascertain the location of and operation status in real time, record sudden acceleration, braking and other driving behaviors, as well as traveled routes and distances, and automatically generate daily usage reports. Customers can use the service to operate their motorcycles more efficiently based on the data they obtain/accumulate during everyday business operations, as well as employ in raising rider safety awareness.
