NEXTY Electronics and Israeli Tool Vender JFrog Sign Joint Sales Program
~Enhanced SDV/DevOps development environment support~

Toyota Tsusho Group’s electronics trading company, NEXTY Electronics Corporation (Head Office: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President: Yasuhiro Kakihara; hereinafter referred to as “NEXTY Electronics”), entered into a joint sales program with JFrog Ltd. (Head Office:USA and Israel; Co-Founder and CEO: SHLOMI BEN HAIM; hereinafter referred to as “JFrog”) in November 2022 and began sales in Japan at the end of December 2022.

As cars evolve into software-defined vehicles (SDV),*1 there is growing importance in the in-vehicle software industry attached to tools for collecting and managing artifacts*2 in order to accommodate the diversification, growing scale, and rising complexity of software development languages.

According to research by IMARC Services Private Limited, the global size of the market for DevOps,*3 an approach to software development, is estimated to be US$7 billion (as of 2021) and is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 24.6% in the future. Observers see DevOps as a growth market that is predicted to grow to $26 billion by 2027.

Headquartered in the U.S. and Israel, JFrog provides a platform for managing deliverable repositories,*4 a key part of DevOps. The company entered the Japanese market in 2018 by establishing a subsidiary there. The sales is growing every year, JFrog is one of the leading vendors in the artifact management. JFrog’s flagship product, JFrog Artifactory, can store and efficiently manage the artifacts that software developers complete. The manufacturing, including automotive and IT sectors are already starting to use Artifactory. Moving forward, JFrog will expect to accelerate more on the automotive sector, where software development is becoming increasingly important.

NEXTY Electronics is the first Japanese company*5 in the automotive industry to conclude a joint sales program agreement with JFrog. NEXTY Electronics provides customers with optimal, high-quality software solutions for the business and technical challenges of increasingly large-scale, complex in-vehicle software development. Through this collaboration, the two companies will further the creation of DevOps environments for SDV development.
